YWCA NSW works closely with the community to support families with young children helping to ensure they get the best possible start in life. Research shows time and time again the critical importance of nurturing and love in a child’s life to ensure that they develop into children, teens, and adults who are happy, healthy, and competent.

Early childhood experiences shape the way we view the world and can define the path we take through life. Those who have experienced an inter-generational cycle of disadvantage do not have the tools or self-belief to make positive choices nor break the cycle for their children.

YWCA NSW is there providing support at these critical times, equipping people with the necessary life skills, whether in parenting or financial literacy, empowering them to move forward with their lives, contribute to the community around them and ultimately create better futures for their children.
