For 130 years, YWCA NSW’s sustainability has been built on a unique, diversified funding model that includes a mix of government, philanthropic, corporate and individual contributions. Without such generosity and diversified funding we would be unable to support disadvantaged individuals, families and communities across NSW and because of it, we were able to assist over 35,000 people in 2009 alone.

People like Kathryn* and her children, who suffered so terribly due to domestic violence but who are now safe and prospering after accessing our Court Intervention and Counselling Services and people like James* who because of his Big Brother was able to stand up to bullies at school. But sadly, there are more and more people like James and Kathryn, who even right here in NSW, find themselves at risk of falling through the cracks and in need of support. *Names have been changed to protect privacy
