Community Work for the Dole Work for the Dole is a program of structured activities to improve participants’ employment prospects and vocational skills, and encourage more active and effective participation in the workplace.
The benefits are as follows:
- Activities are designed to benefit the whole local community. Community Work Co-ordinators work with other community and not-for-profit organisation to develop quality Work for the Dole activities that provide a benefit to both Work for the Dole participants and the community.
- Work experience focus enhances participants’ ability to work as part of a team, take directions from a supervisor, working independently, communicate effectively, and be motivated and dependable, and be motivated and dependable, and
- Flexible work experience opportunities to help participants re-engage with their community and workplace.
The Community Work Co-ordinator includes the Work for the Dole Scheme and Community Work Placements. Community Work Co-ordinator approves, manages and monitors the Work for the Dole activities, place participants in activities and administer Training Credits.
The Program is currently operation in Macarthur, Wollondilly (Campbelltown and surrounds) and Southern Highlands.
