Mother of All Lunches 2012

The event raised about $21,000 profit, which was an incredible outcome for us. It was a wonderful result, thanks to you and your generosity. These funds will allow YWCA NSW to continue its work supporting young people who come from violent backgrounds through our mentoring, leadership and healthy start programs, in particular through our breakfast programs. It will not only ensure that they have a nutritious and healthy start to the day but also have a positive role model in their life who spends time with them and can listen to their problems. In 2010-11, YWCA NSW supported over 5500 young people through these programs and the money raised at the Mother of All Lunches will go a long way towards ensuring these young people have someone they can turn to.

Mother of All Balls 2011

The event raised nearly $300,000 in profit which was a great result. In 2010-2011, YWCA NSW impacted over 30,000 people across NSW and the funds raised at Shanghai Chic will allow YWCA NSW to continue its valuable work supporting vulnerable families in disadvantaged communities across NSW. This includes our Big Brothers, Big Sisters™ mentoring program, which improves a young person’s self esteem, their relationships with their family and peers and their performance at school by matching them with an adult, role model.

World Council 2011

In July 2011 nearly 900 women (eek!) gathered for YWCA World Council in Zurich Switzerland. There were representatives from over 100 YWCAs from around the world who met for a week of networking, sharing, experiences and skills building.

Mother Of All Balls 2010

In October 2010 nearly 500 people gathered for a night of Moroccan delights - feasting, fun and camel racing! We raised $300,000 profit towards our mentoring programs which is a great result.
