Government Partners

YWCA NSW works hand in hand with a range of Government Departments from local councils through to Federal Departments, often in the role as a facilitating partner.

This funding is critically important, enabling us to deliver a number of vital Community Services & Programs in each of our four regions.

These include (but are not limited to); supporting medium to long term unemployed through our contract with Job Futures; empowering young people, who are at risk of leaving school early, through the Links to Learning programs; support for first time homeless through our Homeless Brokerage service and ensuring that children are ready for the transition to primary and high school as part of the Federal Government’s Communities for Children strategy.

Our Government partners include:

  • The City of Sydney
  • Department of Community Services
  • Department of Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs
  • Legal Aid Commission of NSW
  • Attorney Generals Department
  • NSW Health
  • Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations
  • Department of Health and Ageing
  • Department of Environment, Water, Heritage and Arts
  • NSW Department of Education and Training
