Health and Community Wellbeing Programs
National School Chaplaincy Program - Nowra & Bombaderry
The National School Chaplaincy Programme (NSCP) is a Commonwealth-funded initiative to support the emotional wellbeing of students and the school community through the provision of pastoral care. Participation by both schools and students in the National School Chaplaincy Programme is voluntary and YWCA NSW Chaplains look after the personal needs of students, not just their academic needs, through the provision of general spiritual and personal advice.
Encore – State-wide and National Programs
YWCA Encore is a free exercise and information program specifically for women who have experienced breast cancer at any time in their lives. It’s an inspiring approach to recovery from breast cancer surgery, which aims to meet the exercise and support needs of women after the trauma of their treatment in a nurturing non-medical environment.
Yummy Café - Ambarvale
Yummy Cafe is community hub in Rosemeadow and Ambarvale linking together a number of activities, services and opportunities for families and providing a child and family friendly venue for the whole community. Yummy Café is where local residents can access services, participate in activities and programs, develop skills and build networks, purchase delicious affordable food, meet in a safe place where their children can play and develop positive peer support groups. Yummy Cafe is also host to our technology room, which is home to our Seniors Kiosk - educating the mature members of our community about technology.
