In School Mentoring

In addition to our Big Brothers Big Sisters Mentoring Program YWCA NSW has developed this unique in-school mentoring program in Sydney Metro, South Western Sydney (Campbelltown and Macarthur) and the Shoalhaven region in Bomaderry and East Nowra.

YWCA's In School Mentoring Program - provides mentoring by adult volunteers to small or full class groups of year 5 and 6 students in a supervised setting over the course of the school year.

 

Students receive particular support in the areas of literacy and numeracy skills, self esteem, skills, and leadership, helping to improve their overall school performance, behaviours and feelings of connectedness to their community.
