
YWCA is a global network leading social and economic change in 132 countries worldwide. It has advocated for peace, justice, human rights and the environment since its inception 1855.
Each year, the global YWCA reaches more than 25 million people through work in 22,000 communities. This grassroots development experience shapes the organisation’s global advocacy agenda. It is a volunteer membership movement inclusive of women from many faiths, backgrounds and cultures.

Through member associations, YWCA Australia offer a range of programs aimed at developing women’s leadership, supporting women, their families and communities at critical times in their lives, and promoting gender equality.
YWCAs provide programs and services to more than a quarter of a million people in over 270 sites each year throughout rural, regional and metropolitan Australia.
