The focus for the team, based in Lismore but covering the surrounds, is on children aged 0-12, specifically getting them ready for the transition to primary and then high school through a variety of programs including playgroups, mentoring and life skills.
It is also the home of our social enterprise, Pulse Café and Catering. This area has a higher than average Indigenous community, higher unemployment and lower educational levels.
Metro Region
The Sydney Metro team focuses on in-school educational & mentoring programs for children at risk of falling out of the school system with no positive adult role models in very disadvantaged areas, which often experience high levels of crime and ongoing mental health, drug and alcohol issues.
Additionally, the team offer support for those who find themselves Homeless or escaping domestic violence and manage our regional health & wellbeing programs.
South West Region
South Western Sydney is an area that has pockets of severe disadvantage. The team, based out of Campbelltown, focus on Education & Training Services and in–school support. Our award winning Community Hub, Yummy Café, is also based in this region, offering parenting programs and family support services for the local community.
South East Region
The team in the South East Region is based in Nowra, working in the Shoalhaven community on in-school support programs for disadvantaged kids who need mentoring and life skills as well as family and support. It is also the centre for our services assisting those who are victims of domestic violence through counseling, court assistance and referrals.
Our social enterprise, The Green Trading Company is also based here. The area has high levels of unemployment and early school leavers and above average incidences of domestic violence.
NSW Regional & Rural
We run a number of health and wellbeing programs across the state including Aboriginal Women's Wellbeing and Encore – for women who have experienced breast cancer.
These programs are run out of our Sydney Metro office.
