As a Registered Training Organisation (RTO), YWCA NSW provides nationally recognised vocational training, working collaboratively with our own and other local employment services and employers to offer training to job seekers in areas where there are skills shortages.

Sandra is a recent graduate who is celebrating after being offered a role in her chosen field. Sandra came to YWCA NSW’s RTO seeking work and decided to enrol on a course to gain a Certificate III in Aged Care.
During the course she successfully completed a work experience placement at a local residential care facility, where she made such an impression that she was offered work by the facility.
Sandra is thoroughly enjoying her new role and is considering further study to gain more skills and fulfil her potential with a career in the sector.
Congratulations Sandra and all the Certificate III in Aged Care graduates, who are pictured at the graduation celebration.
We’re delighted that over 65% of our graduates from RTO programs in all YWCA NSW regions have gained employment or gone on to further training in areas including Transport, Aged Care, Business, Information Technology, Retail, Hospitality and Conservation & Land Management.
In early 2011 we were also pleased to expand our training offering to include short courses and licenses that are required for entry into employment, including Construction White Cards, Responsible Service of Alcohol and Conduct of Gambling, Food Safety and Barista skills.
