Partnering Employment Pathways

Partnering Employment PathwaysThis YWCA NSW mentoring program in the Shoalhaven region iis targeted at young people aged 14 to 25, who are at risk of leaving school or of becoming long-term unemployed. 75 young people, the 'mentees' are matched with mentors from local businesses and placed into work experience placements, with the aim of increasing their re-connection with education and training, employment, family and the community. The work experience placements are one day per week for 100 weeks. The mentoring relationship will last for at least one year.

Mentors are carefully screened and receive training prior to commencement and mentees receive ongoing training and support.
