We are very grateful for your donations which help us to achieve our mission in  working together with women, children, young people and their families to find the possible in their lives.

In NSW we do this with more than 56 programs and services that support people through key transition points in their lives… from teaching young mothers to read to their babies through Books4Bubs, nurturing young children at Playgroups, mentoring students to transition from primary school to high school,  encouraging leadership in school students, providing support services to women experiencing domestic violence, through to financial literacy and homelessness services.

We very much value the financial support we receive through donations, bequests, workplace giving, regular giving and our new Giving Circle.

Wills and Bequests

Wills and Bequests

Leaving a bequest to YWCA NSW will help leave a lasting memory to your kindness and generosity. It allows YWCA NSW to continue delivering programs to help disadvantaged people to help them led happier lives.

Over the years we’ve been fortunate to be included in the wills of YWCA NSW supporters, many of whom were unable to support us during their lifetime because of their own financial circumstances. These bequests are of great value as they enable us to continue our work.

If you’d like to leave a bequest in your will to YWCA NSW, you may do so in the form of a gift of personal property.

We suggest the following wording.
Specific Bequest
“I give to the YWCA NSW ACN 000 007 714, (insert specific item to be given) or the sum of $ (insert amount to be given) for its general purposes. I declare that the receipt of the executive director or proper officer is a complete discharge of this bequest and my Trustee is not bound to see to the application of this bequest.”
General or Residuary Bequest
"I give to the YWCA NSW ACN 000 007 714 the whole (or insert percentage) of my residuary estate for its general purposes. I declare that the receipt of the executive director or proper officer of the YWCA NSW is a complete discharge of this bequest and my Trustee is not bound to see to the application of this bequest."

Workplace Giving

Workplace Giving

For the individual - Workplace Giving donations are deducted from your salary before tax is applied, thereby reducing taxable income. As donations are made pre-tax, it will only cost you 62 cents for every dollar you pledge (based on a marginal tax rate of 38%). Also donations are automated through your payroll system meaning you get an immediate tax deduction which saves the hassle of keeping receipts for your tax return.  What’s more, if your company matches your deduction – your contribution will make twice the difference!

For employers - workplace giving offers a vehicle to build non-profit community partnerships and boost employee morale. Research shows that such initiatives help to attract and retain quality talent. We can also provide volunteering opportunities for your staff to further their engagement.
For YWCA NSW, work place giving is low on cost and administration and therefore meaning a very high percentage of the funds goes directly to the cause. Furthermore, WPG is often a stable and long term funding source meaning we are able to ensure the sustainability of our work in the community.
